from my experiance its like this, 97-99 maxima's whistle after like 1500rpm at a constant throttle up to like 4500rpm or so. My father in law has a 95 gle which doesnt make that whistle as loud but his does it at WOT upwards near 5K-redline, but only if your going full throttle or revving full throttle. My other friends did that also and his was a 96 gxe, and he now has a 97 se and its the same as my 99se no more WOT whistle does anyone know why its like that? i always thought that was wierd my father in laws 95 can also beat my cars a$$ even though its virtually stock on top end AND off the line but idk

Mine used to have the "whistle" when I had my midpipe on. But since I removed it, its been pretty quiet. (and more responsive!)

the whistling is the vortex of the "cold air" in the throttle body. if you get a throttle body spacer it will increase the vortex and create a longer and much louder whistling sound. at least thats how it is on my buddy's accord. it sounds awesome.

and ppl who think your CAI is a supercharger are idiots. 'nuff said
