You just have to undo your battery for a couple of hours and it will be fine. Good luck.

i say unplug the battery. Im not about to mess with the ECU directly.

1) Unplug the battery for about 2hours
2) re-connect battery
3) start up car (with ALL devices turned off & MOST IMPORTANTLY **DO NOT REV THE ENGINE**

4) let the car idle for about 10min NOT TOUCHING A THING!!
5) turn off the car
MOST CRUTIAL PART:
6) re-start the car and go for a drive around the block, DO NOT BABY THE CAR EITHER, drive somewhat faster than cruising speed. **do not romp on it** this will cause the ECU to reset itself to thinking that you drive that way all the time. Make sure to drive smoothly!

7) go back home....

if you ever have a check engine light.. try that method .. and you will see that your method doesn't not reset the ECU.. you may think it does.. but in actuallity.. it does not

the ecu reset is very easy.. its easier than unpluging the battery

Re: please help

ok now you are just being rhetorical?

do i have to have water in the pot to make steam?

yes yes you do..

you turn the key in on position where the dash lights up.. turn clockwise till it stops count to 2, turn anti clockwise till it stops count to 2, turn anti clockwise till it stops count to 2, turn anti clockwise till it stops

turn the car off and start it up..

boom you are done
