Need Comparison From '99 Engine Compartment
I apologize for the near double post but new information and realizations necessitate it...
Evidently, there are differences in the engine compartment setup and sensor components in the '99 as opposed to earleir 4th Gens.
It would be appreciated if someone with a '99 would tell me, on their car, what's hooked up to the open line shown in the center of this photo.
This is a '99.5 SE Limited with an A/T and No ABS.
I've stored a code 0302 = EGR Hi/Low Flow.
I can't imagine that this line is supposed to be open. I do not believe it's a vacuum line as it is not identified on the vacuum diagram sticker under the hood.
Your assistance is appreciated.
After the photo loads, you'll likely have to enlarge it to properly see the open line.
Here's the photo link:

That picture makes it look like the end of that larger hose with the clamp on it. Thats a fuel line so I know it's not that line.
The only thing I can see on my car is the small vacuum hose that goes from the top of the resonator box down to a line in that area. Is that hose connected? Look around closely, take your air intake completey off to get better access to that area and see if you can figure out which line is off. Once you put the line on, you'll have to reset the ECU to clear the code.
