Ok, heres the deal...there isnt anything at all that can do what you want. Everything you are going to find will pretty much just be an OBD scanner, which is what the consult is pretty much. To configure the ecu, you need to get your EEPROM reprogrammed, which you probably can't do yourself. Sorry

ok the 300zx has a program called conzult which basically is like consult but a lot more flexable. the thing is that i dont really want to reprogram anything but i rather want to monitor settings. my buddy just got one for this camaro and it plugs right into the ecu and u can change settings. the consult isnt just a scantool or obd scanner but its also a real time monitor of the engines systems. i know theres a program like that for our cars but i dont remember what i was called and where to download from.

Yup, every OBD-II software scanner should have this capability, record stats, view live readings, generate graphs and such... only problem is, from what I hear, the 4th gen ECU is quite slow, so reading live readings might be lacking compared to other cars

What you could do is buy a generic OBD-II interface, sometime available on ebay but mostly on online stores...usually around $20-30 and just download the software, I hear AutoEnginuity is pretty good http://www.autoenginuity.com/ and heres what your looking for http://www.autoenginuity.com/products-scantoolpc.html ...there is a whole bunch, but I wouldn't pay for the software.
