I have an automagic, and it helps it to spool up the rpms much faster through first gear. It is hard to get off the line with an auto, and every little thing that helps to get you into the peak power range helps. Not to mention it is cheap, and not that hard to install, provided you have a lift.

Totally agree, the car revs quicker, seems a little bit quicker. I think it;s worth it.

ok i dunno bout the maxima a friend of mines got it on his mustang(v6) and from what i would have to say is that it didnt really give it anymore power cuz the car naturally sucks a$$ but the car felt a little different driving it kinda like having better response. its kinda hard to explain, the only thing that i would be worried bout is ur temp will go up as well as teh alternator will work less meaing the lights are gonna be dimmer so i u got a high amp u can forget it.

i just got my and a new alt at the same time. And i think it sucks *****. I can't wait to get it off my car. My lights, and climate blower dim so much. At first it's like no big deal but after a while it's just so anyoing. I probably havt 20 percent less blower. And i have a brand new oem alt. I don't know how people with systems could do it. It's not worth it man.

Yeah if you don't have any other bolt ons, I'd save the udp for later. A Y pipe or intake would be a better place to begin.

You can also get a lightened pulley. It would be considerably lighter than the stock pulley but it wouldn't underdrive all your componentes. It would be the same size as the stock pulley, you'd use all the same belt sizes so you can keep the stock belts and you'd get about 85% of the benefits without any of the underdrive symptoms.

Unorthodox racing makes a nice one, I'm sure there are other manufacturers out there.

where can i get just a lightened unorthodox pulley? 85% of the benefits sound good to me since i have a system. here is the udp that custommaxima sells: http://www.customenterprise.com/view...asd/scspid/519

You can get one here at the link below. It's called an SC pulley. I believe SC stands for super charger because you would not want to underdrive a supercharger, that would defeat the purpose, so the pulley is much lighter but still the same size. I'm sure if you search, you could probably find a better price. Stillen sells it too but you have to call for pricing.
