Sorry for the repost I just really didnt get any output from the other one seeing as 2 people replyed

I currently have the wsp y-pipe and went with the 2.5 wsp catback but the magnaflow that came with it is total crap and sounds terrible. I'm in the market for a new muffler but not looking to spend anymore then 100 on the muff. Can you guys please let me know what sounds good on the max for a good price? was looking at flowmaster 40 series, a magnaflow SS 48219 i think it was a .org member recommended, and obx seems pretty cheap but not sure on sound. lemme know thanks.

call up WS and ask for Dallas, they would probably exchange the muffler for you if you asked for their new muffler they just put out....supposedly much quieter and higher flowing than the magnaflow...but then again....almost everything is

I have a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler, with a Budget Y pipe and custom resonated 2.25" B pipe. I believe it's the Dynomax 17747. The muffler was like $40.
I had the cat back done at a local exhaust shop installed for $240, with a nice welded stainless steel tip.
Sounds absolutley great - really quiet on cruising - a slight burbling at idle, and a nice throaty but mellow sound on normal acceleration.
Hard acceleration is a throaty growl - but still not louder than the intake.

The dynomax don't sound that great. Sort of like a 2k1 muffler on a 4th gen max wih y-pipe and cat back. It sounds sort of muffled and buzzy, not a clean tone.
