noob question on stick maximas????

i heard that the stick tranny is garbage on the 4th gen maxima, i just bought a 97 maxima automatic and i was thinking of selling it and getting a stick one but can anyone tell me wat are the problems that the 5spd maximas have so i can look out before i get one, i love the power on my auto but i wish it was 5spd.

It's not garbage, its just not the best. The only reason that its bad is because of the common differential problem, but not everyone has it....

wat u mean by differential problem, does it only have power on one side like most hondas or what, i used to owned a 92 celica 5spd that only burn rubber on one side after a few seconds on the other is that wat u mean??

What your explaining is a locking differential, which yes we have. Basically some people have shims that are too tight for the differential bearings so they get too much load and premature wear. Heres more info: http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/804

No we don't.

Only I30s and Canadian Maximas have a limited slip (aka "locking") differential.
