I discovered that my Nissan dealer does not disclose official Nissan part numbers just for the asking. I want to make sure the oxygen sensors I order are correct for my model, so it would be good to know the Nissan numbers and compare them to the compatibility lists for the 3rd party units. I apologize if the FAQs on Nissan part numbers already exists, but I couldn't find it. Is there someone in the org who has access to Nissan part numbers?

Oh my God ... that sounds like the biggest load of B.S. I have ever heard!!! What's the problem - are terrorists using Nissan oxygen sensors and fuel filters for weapons or something?? I've never tried asking for part numbers, so I don't know what to tell you, but my God that's hysterical. It sounds like an attempt to keep people from comparing prices or finding parts from outside sources or something. Ridiculous.

I'm sure you're right. I mean not about Homeland Security concerns but the usual desire to make it harder to buy reliably from 3rd party vendors. Maybe it's just my dealer? Though I note that on-line Nissan parts suppliers like Pinnacle Nissan and Courtesy Nissan do not list Nissan part numbers in their displays, only their own inventory numbers.

Try Jerry Rome Nissan (jerryromenissan.com). Their site shows OEM part #s.

I have the 96 collision repair guide but I couldn't find the numbers for oxygen sensors. Are you trying to buy one from oxygensensors.com?

Thanks to UncleMax98 for reference to nissan4parts.com. I found the needed numbers for oxygen sensors. And thanks to hasei for Jerry Rome Nissan source. Yes, I am planning to order from oxygensensors.com. I am now clear about the front sensors, but I don't know whether the catalytic converter sensor for my car (Maxima SE mfg 6/96) is a 3-wire or 4-wire. Do you know how I could determine this without crawling under the car just now?
