DO NOT RE-USE THE SPACER! i did with mine and i had to take the tranny out 3 times before i figured out that it was the problem. the flywheel bolts are like 63 ft/lbs, and make sure you use a criss-cross pattern when tightening them.

I just installed my Fidanza over the weekend, so the torque numbers are fresh in my mind. The specified torque is 50-59 ft-lbs. I set the torque to the high number.

I did not use the spacer thingy. I read in a thread last week about a guy who had problems with clutch engagement when he used the spacer. His problem was solved when he removed it.

Now's a good time to replace the clutch and throwout bearing. I didn't because I have 40,000 miles on the ACT clutch, and I figured it had at least another year of life left. After looking at the clutch plate, I wish I had bought a new one.

That's interesting. I am still using the flex plate bolts left over from when my car was automatic. The bolts are about 3/4ths the length of the flywheel bolts, so I didn't have any length issues like that from not using the spacer.

The problem of your bolts being too long? Get flex plate bolts for an automatic transmission from your dealer, or a junkyard.
