Hey everyone,

I know this will sound like a stupid question probably. but i have been trying to find the answer to it since i got my maxima a few months ago. I want to install an exhaust on my 1999 SE maxima. I am lookin to just buy a kit with all the parts i need, and then have my friend (a mechanic) install it for me. I'm real new, so i'm sorry if these are stupid questions lol.

But my real question is, i am wondering if the silencers, that i see for exhausts, actually do what they imply silence the exhaust noise. I am wondering this because i really don't want a loud exhaust but i want the extra HP it gives. I dunno if you guys can maybe reccommend a good quiet exhaust for my max (if it exists) or a good package to get, sorry again, i'm real new, and i can't seem to find the answer in the FAQs but i may just be blind lol. Anyway thanks for the help ahead of time.

 

im looking for a bolt up system too... im awaiting the sp2 development... you should just get a resonated b-pipe and forget about a silencer and be done with it... just my .02
