97 SE Master Cylinder Replacement

I was wondering what would be considered a good cost for getting my master cylinder replaced if I live in San Luis Obispo, CA. I am a poor college student and this **** is going to kill me financially.

A quick search at partsamerica.com showed that a rebuilt master cylinder costs anything from 80 - 200 bucks... I would add another 150 for labor... (most likely more at a dealer...)...not sure why there is such a huge price range...

Thanks man. And I'm not sure that is the problem but I'm guessing it might be so I want to be ready with a good price when I get a diagnostic again. I got one yesterday and they said it might be wearing out but its not leaking so they see no reason to replace it right now but they recomended replacing the slave at the same time when I replace the master and said it would run about 340 to do both which seems like a good price to me.
