I was looking at edmunds and found this recall for maximas manufactured feb 97 to 98. my car was made in may 97. will nissan still fix this if i go to a dealership? also, how would i find out if they already have done this since i bought the car used.

 

I bought my 98 max second hand and earlier this year they replaced the altenator for free under warranty.

 

yes they will. the alternators have different codes. they can tell if its done, just go to the dealer and youll be ok.

 

Mine was replaced too, about 5 months ago. I did mine at my mechanic and nissan headquarters sent me a check after it was done

 

Im still waitin on my check.
