Exhaust system stretching
OK, so I've got this weird problem with my exhaust. There is a flexible section covered by braiding and the braid has come loose from the forward ring, thusly:

This causes the exhaust to move towards the rear of the car, and the support bracket gets twisted thusly:

This causes the bracket to rub/bump against the floor of the car, causing an extremely annoying noise. I have bent the bracket some, but it's still causing a noise.
I guess the question is, does this mean I have to replace my entire exhaust, or is there a particular section that can be replaced instead?

Time for an aftermarket y-pipe
. Or if you want to be boring you could get a new flex section put in. I think I've heard it should cost about $30 (that may have just been for the parts though).
