tried to remove the shifter **** on my 95 se manual, cant take it off for the life of me, anyone gotta any ideas?

 

It is glued on as well as threaded. Fortunately, the type of glue they used is a thermoplastic, so if you heat it with a heat gun (maybe a hair dryer is good enough) the glue will soften. But you will probably still have to use channel-locks or vise-grips on it to twist it off.
