simple question for those with y pipes

is this y pipe so called "kick in the pants" felt in everyday city driving or mostly just highway?

The Y pipe definitely does gives you some more oommph when you drive. After awhile your butt will think of it as normal.

I don't know about a "kick in the pants"...it's not like a 50 shot of nitrous or anything. The car will pull a tad harder from 3K-redline. Doesn't really matter what gear or speed.

Maybe it's the VQ30's VTCs kickin in due to the Y's increased valve timing?
