You need to get 235/40ZR/18s for the Maxima. The ones that you listed are way too small. They'll look like roller skate wheels on the Maxima.

I also have a question about how my tire size will affect my speedometer. I recently got 17" Konig Tantrums with Nitto NT450's (215/40/17). I'm not sure if it's a good idea to put them on my 96 Maxima SE, cuz I'm not sure if it will mess anything up (besides the speedometer being off).

I really don't want to buy 4 235/45/17 tires, because I just don't have the money anymore from buying this tire/rim combo. I'm not sure if anyone would even want to purchase these practically new Nitto NT450 tires on eBay, but the thing is, I want to get a good amount on $$ on these tires that way I could use it to buy 235/45/17 tires. Anyone have any suggestions on what the hell should I do? Should I just stick with my 215/40/17 tires? Thanks guys!

This is a good site. You enter your stock tire size and your new tire size and it gives approximate differences, measurements, and how it will affect things like your speedometer.
