Leather seat install-Pics

Just made the drive to VA w/the gf to pick up my new set of leather seats that I bought off Ebay. Black leather out of a '96 w/only 29,000 miles on them-no rips, tears, or even signs of fading or wear! Install was very easy-just had to use a bit of elbow grease and remove some bolts and nuts. They are both powered, so i was hoping my passenger side had wires already mounted under the carpet somewhere (i had a cloth manual pass. seat)

The maxima had so much room for my long legs without the seats! LOL. I had to switch out the center console that came with it (out of a 96 w/smaller cupholders than my 97) because a clip snapped off my old one. All in all im pretty damn happy with the seats-worth the trip!

How often should I treat it?

Anyways, here are some pics.

Looks sharp! You ain't lieing either, the seats looks flawless! Anyways, I condition my seats about every two weeks or if you're not that crazy 'bout it whenever you change your oil should suffice. Looks good though!

No problem man. its understandable.

I treated the leather with Meguairs' leather cleaner and protectant and it made it look so much sharper. Its either that or i inhaled the fumes for way too long!

I did the same thing with my 96 GXE. I had a manual passenger seat as well, and the lead was just tied up under the old seat, so the new power passenger seat just hooked right up. Did you get the door panels too? Those seats look brand new, nice!

Nah, it came with the center console but no door panels. I'll probably end up making my own, shouldn't be too hard.

the leather is nice =o)

Thanks Irish. I swapped the backseat first since it was so easy. there are two clips at the bottom of the seat cushion, 4 bolts at the base of the armrest that folds down, and 4 clips at the top of the backseat. Then i took out the two front seats and center console (and cleaned the crap out of my carpet). The two seats have 2 bolts in the front and 2 in the back located at the corner. the center console has two bolts in the back and two at the front connected at the dash.

Its all pretty easy once you get down to it.

LOL, yeah my bad for not disconnecting the battery bro. I got bent over by mosquitos too. I spent all day cleaning my car, and the leather too. You're right, i get that "plastic" feeling after the treatment on the leather, but oh well.

Thanks saga, i was hoping nobody saw the deal.
