Is it really dangerous to go 145MPH on 130MPH rated tires?

Speed ratings are established in kilometers per hour and subsequently converted to miles per hour (which explains why speed ratings appear established at "unusual" mile per hour increments).”
That’s from www.tirerack.com I know there a fly by night business but that comes straight from them. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete...eral/speed.jsp
3) My cop friend is a young cop and does stupid $hit all of the time. He had me radar his truck to see what it topped out at. So I don't think he will have a problem doing it for me.
4) I need new front breaks really bad and they do almost nothing.
5) I am coordinated and I can handle it. You have never seen me drive.

I wonder what the difference would be when a tire blows at 145mph as opposed to 60

im goin to go with not too much , i destroyed my last car when i hit two trees at 70 and i still thank god to this day for me being able to walk away from that, any faster, and who knows what would of happened.

and i hate to say it but you might think you have control of your car at 100+, but you really dont as much as you think, our cars arent built to for those kinda of speeds, and you dont know how your car will react on the slightest change of any condition if your going that fast. dont be hard-headed and think your indestructable, all of us have gone through that stage once in our lives, and i cant speak for anybody else really, but i look back at those days and regret some of the dumb a$$ $hit that i did. just my .02

I would rather have a tire blow out going 145 where I go that fast. It’s wide open with grass on both sides and no cars. It’s better then having a tire blow out going 60-70 surround by traffic and run into a bunch of people and maybe hurt them. Really what are the odds I’m going to blow out a tire in that short time I’m going 145. I really don’t remember anyone else who tried to top out there max getting this much ****.

that reason your getting such a hard time about is b/c you are ignorant, i mean do you not even read what you just wrote, the chances of you living if you have a tire go out at 145 is VERY VERY slim to none, im talking like .0000001%, and i would much rather have a tire go out surrounded by cars at 60 or 70, i would think the chances would be slimmer of rolling if you had cars around you.

your an idiot for going that fast...get caught and u go to jail for manslaughter or attemped manslaughter. you know why? Because if u hit ne one at those speeds u WILL kill them. loose control and die and perhaps kill someone else. is it really worth the picture and ur life?

I know it is stupid, but It's not something I'm going to do everyday. This road is completly empty I go up on this overpass and can see where the highway ends and about 1/2 mile before the overpass and there is absolutly no one around so the only person that is at risk is me. I REPEAT NO ONE ELSE IS GOING TO GET HURT BUT ME! Does anyone have a video of a Maximas tire blowing out at 145MPH? How does almost everyone seem to be an expert on what would happen if it does? If something does happen I think it's Nissans fault for letting the max go 145MPH if it can't handle a blow out.

Even if I told you Ant what are you going to do call the PD and say someone on the internet said this officer did so and so? They won't do jack. Who are they going to believe anyway the officer or the guy who heard about something on an internet forum?

LONGBOARDERPHIL, that's a pretty stupid thing to say since you could kill someone doing 20mph. Either way, yeah it's dangerous but if you're skilled enough...

Here's a good buddy of mine doing 140+.

You are the biggest moron I've ever met.... really. My 5 year old has more common sense than you. Go ahead and do it..... with reasoning skills like that you're bound to make the darwin list sooner or later, so we might as well have a front row seat.

Die well, shiznit.

Dude, just have the confidence to KNOW your car is fast. Don't feel the need to prove it by doing something ridiculously dangerous.

You're "in control" unless you run over a just big enough rock at 145 mph that you don't have time to react to it, or worse, if you react to it period. The max or most production cars would roll with sharp reactions to the wheel at that speed.

Fine, no one is around. What about animals?

If your max has stock suspension this message goes double. IT SUCKS AT HIGH SPEED.

And +1 for what everyone else against this stupidity said above. Think about your parents and loved one if something bad happened to you.

We've all done stupid things in our max but this is just beyond anything most of us would do.

Only if he had his laptop with him, because that's fake.

He left a lot of remnants where the needle pointed to 0, and you can clearly see on the needle he moved where he cut it and didn't clean it up.

He is teh

Thank you, at least you had proof. No **** it's fake but MaximaLover believed it, noob. My friend has taken it to about 142 but tking his hand off the wheel is something he wouldn't do at that speed.

Wow I can't believe that guy just said he'd rather have a blowout doing 145 with no one around than a blowout at 70 in traffic. Is this guy for real?

I just bought my max and it must have an aftermarket suspension because it feels fine at 130-140 it doesn't feel loose at all.

Yes, people have, but i'm going out on a limb here and guessing you're a little immature to be trying it on your own. Stick with the training wheels, son.

yes people have taken there maxs to the limit and gone over 140, but we dont have to be other people's bit**'s and take a picture for them. and why do you have to be such a motard and think that you can do 110+ all the time, does it make you feel good about yourself, that you put your life and others in danger all the time, trust me you little f****** kid, you'll grow up one day and relize that driving fast all the time isnt "cool", and you'll slow your a$$ down and drive like a normal human being, and act like a man. remember, driving a car inst a right, its a privilage, dont abuse it

You do know that the ebrake just engages the rear brakes right?... pretty much, you used the set of brakes that are meant to do something like 30% of the stopping work... good job

Oh and getting caught doing that sort of speed will not just get you a big fine.. it's a felony, you go to jail, get your car impounded, loose your license... the ticket would likely be in the several thousand dollar range. I'm sure there are other charges they could hit you with too.

You don't even know if your own car has aftermarket suspension or not? You need to quit posting all together.

i dont kno y u guys are making such a big deal. i guess u get all the performance mods so that u can keep your car at a brisk 65mph oh the highway? i've done the 140+ before and so have a good amount of other people on this org so we should all just chill out. but honestly we need to stop having threads like this cause we have cops on here and everything we say he can n will use against us in the court of law.
