You a fourth time for thinking your e-brake (rear-only) would do a better job stopping you than ALL FOUR brakes...
You a fifth time for thinking you're "coordinated and can handle it"...

Might not call it dangerous...

but it definitely calls into question your decision making skills, ability to weigh and assess risk, driving skills and your sanity; I guess I'd have to call it "unsafe", to put it mildly (and kindly).

If you need front brakes get them before doing 145 again. Get your priorities straight first then have fun. People like you that makes the rest of us sub-25 drivers pay 3 thousand every six months for the cheapest full coverage insurance. I am guilty of attempting to max out but that was probably 30 or so miles after a COMPLETE tune-up. That reminds me though it's almost time for a tune-up.

I guess you're "people like you"

Anyway, many people have gone for short stints at speeds at which they'd be in big trouble if caught. If you're caught doing 145 on a public road here you'll stand a great chance of being jailed and your car seized for a time. I read about a guy recently in some county somewhere that has some dumbass rule that anybody caught going more than 90 in the 65 zone gets auto jail time, so this guy got arrested and booked and paid $1048 to get out on bail.

The punishment for speeding can be harsh. Unfortunately in a time when cars are getting faster and more capable and we've got more and more movies (like fast and the furious) promoting speeding, it's often difficult to control urges for a lot of people.

first of all... your speedo is way off at that speed...

second of all... why would you want to do that?? and why take a picture of it?? you think that everyone will think how cool you are?? you'll probably be flamed....

let me ask you ... how old are you? How much driving experience do you really have? have you ever lost control at 60mph ?? probably not! now think about losing control at 140mph ...

i lost control of a car at 50mph and there was no way in hell that I could have done anything... ended up totalling 4 cars & was glad I didn't kill anyone....

EDIT: didn't realize this thread had 5 pages....must go back & read now

Taking pictures of your speedo while going really fast is dangerous, don't ever attempt it.
