Stillen body kit

Will the 97-99 Stillen kit fit a 95 Maxima? I've read on the forum that it's possible to get a 97 bumper onto a 95 Maxima, so... would this work?

I noticed that Stillen has a different kit for the 95-96 max as it does the 97-99.

thx SprintMax,

Has anyone actually done this? (used the stillen 97-99 kit on their 95 max)

I just want to ensure compatibility before purchasing.

first just convert your bumper from 95-96 to 97-99 (lots of people have done this) then from there it's a dircet fit. I think you can get a 97 front bumper for like 100shipped of ebay

The Sideskirts from any 95-99 stillen kit will fit your 97, but the front-lip and rear-valance wont fit right without converting to a 97-99 front / rear. The rear bumper of the 97's is about an inch longer than the ones on the 95-96's.

CarbonDreams95,
I'm not sure I understand completely... when you say I need to convert my bumper to a 97, do you mean I need to buy a 97 bumper and install that first, and then install the 97 Stillen kit afterwards? -- I'm rather new to the whole body kit scene, but I was under the impression a kit comes with the bumper etc.. I may definitely be incorrect as I'm a total newb when it comes to these things. I just know that the kit bumper looks a lot different than the stock bumper, -- or is the stock bumper just modified slightly on the bottom with some piece from the kit?

Wisky97SE,
Would you briefly explain what I would require to use the 97 Stillen kit on my 95 max? You mentioned I must convert both the front and rear bumpers to 97, but are we just talking the bumper casing or the components behind this as well?

Thanks much,

A 97-99 stillen kit will NOT fit a 95/96 except the sides.

Get a bumper from a 97-99 for the front and back and install it on your 95, it bolts right up... other than that buy the right stillen kit for the 95

If you must have the 97-99 Stillen Kit on your 95. . then your Maxima MUST have the 97-99 front and rear bumpers BEFORE you install the Stillen Kit. The Stillen kit does not come with the bumper, it mounts on to the factory bumper. I would suggest just getting the 95-96 kit, it would be more economical and IMO the front lip for the 95's look better than the ones for the 97's.

Bottom line is: if you want the 97-99 kit on your 95, it will cost alot more than if you just put the 95-96 kit on it.

Thanks Wisky,

I was browsing the Stillen kits at the Stillen website, and the vehicle they had with the 95 kit was white (not my color). May have been contributed towards my preference for the 97 kit. Now that you guys have explained it, it does sound excessive to demand a 97 kit on a 95.

One last question: Where does the "lip" start? My bumper has a gouge in the middle of it, if the new lip doesn't cover that or replace that piece... I may still need to change that out anyways.
