Yea it does!!! While i was putting in my hybrid intake i was looking at the throttle body and boy was it nasty. I cleaned the sucker and my idle is smoother and it pulles a lot harder to redline.

Very Simple

first of u need to unscrew the clamp on the intake manifold its aflat head u take off the whole intake does not matter stock or after makret once u take it off u will see inside the throttle body a little flap u flap it up make sure your car is on and while u are doing it either have someoen hit the gas pretty hard or do it by ahnd wiht the cable and spray in there nto too much but a good amount the car will idle hard at first then it will be good the car might stall from the lack of air but turn it back on and hit the gas a little then s put the intake back on screw the clamp on and test drive ENJOY

Get TB cleaner, take off the intake piping, spray it in there, wipe it off.

You can also hold the throttle open, if no one else is around. Or take the entire TB off (4 bolts) and give it a good scrubbing

I do mine everytime I clean my filter, or need to take the piping off for some reason. I'd say 4-5 months? If you have an intake it's not hard to get to the butterfly valve and at least wipe it down.

omg. dont pay someone to clean your TB for you. it takes 10 minutes. there are some instructions in teh how-tos, but you dont even need them. jsut take off the intake and scrub off the dirt.

How come? I didnt know anything about the throttle body, and I managed to clean it. I just wiped where the butterfly plate is without turning the car on (afraid something will fly into the engine and there goes ur engine). You have to start somewhere right? And throttle body cleaning is probably the easiest especially for people like me

By the way, can someone explain to me what "idle" mean? Feel free to flame away I m still a newbie...

when your car is on and you are stopped without your foot on the gas, you are idling. the car "idles" at a low rpm, like 6-700 on my 5spd.

u dont need to push on the gas just to let u know the throttle is right next to the throttle body just lift it and it will open the butterfly plate just some info for some of you people that dont have some one to help u i did mine over the weekend bought some synthetic TB cleaner for 3 bucks from pepboys with a tooth brush and a white micro fiber towel 30 mins later my max was peering like a kitten cleaning the TB is a beautiful thing

its 'uber' easy.. take off your intake.. Look for the screws and take them off and pull off your intake.. Then spray and pray and wipe away.

Yes its same to clean behind the TB plate.. Its really crusty back there i cleaned mine...

Its not bad to do it while the car is running.. Its almost the same as using seafoam...

You just need someone to work the throttle to keep the car from turning off on you.
