Ok, just finished cleaning my throttle body and my first impression was great. Smoother idle, and it seemed to shift much more smoothly and less jumpy (not sure if this had to do with the throttle body cleaning). Acceleration was definitely smoother. It was actually very easy to clean also. I used Carb, Choke, and Throttle Body Cleaner which only cost me 2.50 at Advance.

If you really want to clean the whole intake manifold, throttle body, and fuel lines and injectors look into sea-foam.

midway auto supply sells the motor treatment and the deep creep relatively cheap. you can pour 1/2 of sea-foam motor treatment into oil 1/2 into the intake manifold through the brake booster cable and a full can into the gas tank for cleaning and preventing deposit buildup in fuel lines and injectors. for the throttle body they reccomend spraying a can of sea-foam deep creep. I performed the cleaning on my engine, (2 cans of motor treatment and 1 can of deep creep) turned it on, and it smoked a lot for 15 minutes (the whole block was covered in white smoke from the exhaust) and i went for a nice drive revving low and high. afterwards it was like driving a brand new car. the revs are smooth and fast and the idle is planted at 675rpm. I changed the oil after 1 month (roughly700 miles) the oil was very dirty and had little bubbles when draining after the new oil the car pulled even better. I will continue to use sea-foam on my engine every other oil change (8K miles -- i only use AMSOIL)

try it and you will not be disappointed, they also make automatic trans-tune to clean all the deposits in the transmission (add a can to your ATF, also works well)

if you don't believe me ask other members of the org who use it.

I dont get it. Its like your stuttering and your instruction is one long sentence. Actually, I take that back. There's no period.

just made a visit to autozone for some brake fluid for the allante and some atf fluid so i can freshien my i30s power steering fluid. they had sea foam and i got a bottle of the deep creep. it was 5.49 but i think they other types of seafoam were a little cheaper.
now do i just start spraying into the intake or do i open it up to get to my throttle?
also what other uses does this stuff have? im bored and will try just about anyting interesting right now.......
