Performance Chip?

I was on EBay, and I found someone selling a Performance Chip that goes on the ECU and it "boosts HP" not by a lot, but just a little bit. It was $5 and it gaurantees that it wont hurt the car and its completely 1-2-3 to put it in.

Have ya'll heard of this and does it work at all? Its on its way here, and I am hoping it wasnt complete BS ... I know when we has our Trans AM WS6, there was a performance chip for it and it did improve the HP ... but that was a super charged V8 to begin with. LOL LOL

Help ... please I'd appreciate it.

It's not worth getting it. I bought one of those things just to see if all of their BS was really true. From experience, it didn't do anything at all except collect dust on my shelves.

Total crap. The only ECU upgrades worth mentioning for a 4th gen are from Technosquare and JWT.

The FAQ's mention this mod twice. It is an timing advance pos that gives you horrible gas mileage, and f's up your car.

Don't get it.

on the positive side, you've rid your wallet of those five dollars, which is weight reduction, which makes your car faster!!!

I dont think people understand how expensive 20 hp is to add to a car.
Some people have almost run out of things to do aside from a blower, and havent really gotten that much compaired to how much they have spent.

Ima dumb *** ... turns out its not a "performance chip" like the a$$hole said it was ... its a resister taped to a peice of paper (thats what a couple of the buyers said anyway ...) so now i am going to be stuck with that peice of ****. I think I am going to sell it to some high school kid for $20 ... since it was only $5 and I didnt buy it in the first place ... LOL .... it says "I gaurantee it will add 20-40HP instantly!"

I knew it was too good to be true

Oh well, a girl can dream, cant she? LOL

shi0t, i've got NOS stickers and TYPE R stickers for that. That had to have added about 2945 HP by now ... I am really wantin a HUGE "2 FAST 2 FURIOUS" sticker to go on my back glass, I have heard those actually make you go faster than a lamborghini....

my friend who drives the ford focus said it worked on his.
