Ive been fumballing with it for like 1/2 hour now...any tips...cant get any of the bolts loose cause there is nowhere for the socket wrench to get any leverage...NO ROOM

It is a pain in the a$$, the best way I found was to buy one of those screwdrivers that look like a S. They usually have a flathead on one side and phillips on the other or two different size phillips. You should be able to find them at home depot or some similar hardware store.

 

Or the mini-ratchet type screwdrivers work too.

Oh, and when finished, don't tighten all 4 down hard again

 

Where are the 3rd and 4th ones ??.....

there are screws on all four corners, if you only know about the front ones good luck cause the back are like 100 times harder to get to....

 

second option is the 2 screws at the center of the middle console. You would have to tear down your entire middle console (head unit area and all) but once tahts all out, there are two screws somewhat in the middle which may be a little easier to get to than the 4 screws surrounding the ecu. I ripped apart my friends middle area and i see the 2 screws, next time i go over there i should be able to get at the screws. BtW, if u get that taken out matty, i'll pay u a visit to help me put my friends ecu in my car if u dont mind.

 

Im a pro at takin them out now ...First i was tryin to get the BOLTS out for the frame of the ECU braket, then I went out and got a socket screw driver set 17$ at HD and I used that to get the screws out...slid it out and now its off to JWT
