Alright..well my baby is having some problems..the shift out of 1st is rough..like no matter how easy you press the gas, it wont shift out of first till like 3.5k rpms..then kinda bogs when it drops into second from the shock..soo you get going..and your doing 60 and you decide to floor it, well the needle on the tach kinda sways, and the tranny sounds like it doesnt know where to shift to and kinda revs up high then jerks into a gear..so I'm thinking I can check the ECU..even though the CEL hasn't came on..well the blinks were 5 long...5 short...according to that one code page that everyone uses..that means nothing is wrong..hmm..well the car shifts like ****..but the check engine light never comes on..then I reset it again and the light wont go off it just blinks when I go down the road, come home reset it..it goes off...I don't get it..what does this all mean I'm dieing guys! I don't want to do permenent damage to my tranny or even my MAX itself! Thanks

 

How many miles do you have on your car? I just installed a tranny cooler and it took care of the rough 1-2 shift that I was having. My shifts are a lot smoother now. I have a 97 GXE with 86K miles on it. Hope this helps
