Help with rear power window fix

Hello everyone. First time poster. I have a '95 Maxima GLE and my rear power window recently popped loose from it's track (possibly). While trying to raise it from a down position while driving it made a popping noise and slipped down. Now it refuses to raise, even though if I push the window button up it sounds like it attempts the action without actually raising the window. I am able to raise and lower the window manually with my hands.

Has any one had this problem and/or know of a fix?

Thanks

My rear windows are of track to but luckily they still go up but I have to push them down. I also need some help getting them back on track.

This happened to me too. You need to replace the window regulator assembly. The part is sbout $70 from Nissan and takes about 25 minutes to install yourself.

PM was sent to you bro. I actually have a brand new motor/regulator in my hands that was never needed. I can get you it for less than $70+shipping.

Its not hard at all. However, the first time I did it, it took me a long time to figure it out. Start with a haynes manual (although the pics arent' that great). Long story short you have to take off the door panel (with some finesse) and then remove just a couple of bolts. Get the Hanyes and come back with more specific quesions. Suffice to say, you can do this yourself.

If you wanna be cheap about it, there is usually a white piece of plastic that breaks in there. This white piece of plastic basically attaches the steel pulley wire to the window. Just go in there, and epoxy that plastic piece together again with epoxy made for plastic. Clean plastic first with alcohol, use plenty of epoxy, and grease the wires. It'll cost you $5.

My 95 did this same thing a month ago. Spend the money and get a new regulator/window motor assembly like suggested. The installation isn't hard. Remove door panel. Disconnect window plug from motor assembly. Remove interior door plastic covering very carefully from the door so you can reuse it. You see that the motor assembly where the wire goes has 3 or 4 10mm bolts to remove. The regulator has 2 bolts to remove. You also need to remove 2 10mm bolts where the window actually attaches to the window regulator. I recommend removing the window from the regulator first, have someone pull the window up manually then and you should be able to remove the entire regulator assembly with ease after the window is all the way up with someone holding it. When reinstalling, keep that window up, install the new reg/motor assbly, then lower the window down and rebolt it to the regulator. You may have to hook up the window motor to get the regulator in the right position so you can reach the two bolts for the window when removing it and reattaching it. Put the thin plastic protector back on the door along the glue seam, plug the window switch back in, and snap the door trim panel back on. You are done.
