Outrunning a Corvette in a Celica thats not even a GT-S.. total

She probably wasnt even wasting her gas on such a sad sight.

At least you're not an *** about it. So much **** going on late night with drunk drivers here recently, its amazing people keep doing it.

Hope they start with the checkpoints in NYC, at least more of them. There's no excuse driving drunk in a metro area. Cabs and subway with few friends is better then jail time.

As I posted before I got a "reckless driving by street racing" and my cop friend I took the ticket to got it dismissed and it will not be prosecuted and the only thing I owe is the cop a 12 pack of Bud Light. I think I will go ahead and by him a case though. The kid I was racing lives around my neighborhood so I can't wait to see him and find out what he gets. I assume the judge will throw the book at him since at least 5 people have died in the last year on the 3 mile strech of road we were racing on.

Also my friend who knows he has a problem but can't control himself wants to know if there is some kind of class like Alcoholics Anonymous for people that have a problem with street racing and can't stop doing it even though they will eventually kill someone?
And if you could get that answer to my friend before this weekend that would be great because thats when my friend is the worst and often finds himself skipping social events since he got his maxima to go find races all night.

egged a burbank police transport (little elctric vehiclce), got arrested and fined like 250 bucks and had to do 240 hours of community service (clean the highway...not fun). the cops and judge that it was funny but the sergeant who i egged had a napolen complex and he got scared saying he thought we had weapons since he couldnt see in the car. (limo tint on a 94 caprice)
judge was cool, but da wanted to charge for a couple felonies. burbank is not a good place to do stupid things

LOL, i got pulled doing 110 in a 35 in my bros 350Z (with about 4 k under the hood) racing another 350Z... I asked the cop why he pulled me over instead of the other guy, and he told me because he saw me pulling in front of the other Z... He was hella nice about it though, and wrote me down for 55 in a 35. Still a hefty ticket if you ask me...

man...this is getting even crazier...some people are just soooo lucky compared to others that practically get the guilletine! LOL

Maxima lover....regarding your friend, or "friend" if that's the case (not here to judge), usually people get bored and tired of street racing after a little while....they usually do it a alot when the car is new....but after a while it becomes self-defeating....and others, never learn, except from bad experiences which can be unforunate...

on another note, maybe that's what I should do....become buddies with a cop!!! never know when your gonna need 'em....

by the way....is that a pic of you barrying the speedo needle? didn't know it can go that far or loop over....haven't been that high in my car yet....but is that also a CEL and your doin 140+? LOL

The CEL is because of some gas thing where it is letting gas fumes into the air instead of burning them. Thats what the mechanic said. He said it doesn't hurt anything but air quality. I'm getting it taken care of soon.
I had it up to 145(est.) one other time but when i went the last time i was headed into a strong wind and as you can see cars were coming up so i let off. I keep hearing about how bad the maxima suspension is but when i got up to 140+ it didn't feel unstable at all. I even changed lanes back and forth a couple of times and it felt fine.

going fast is going fast, if you get pulled than its your problem, if you spin out and die, thats your problem... But to answer your question sterlingmaxima... A young man named Affrio (had a sweet 4th gen max and g35 coupe) spun out and fliped into a tree going fast... and the worst part about it is that his girlfriend and friend were in the car. They died he didnt. So hes being charged for manslaughter right now, and not only can he get 15-life, he has to live with the fact that if he hadnt have gone 100+ he would have still been with his gf. So be carefull, and drive safe, (and sober)

As of what happen this pass Halloween, my co-worker said I'm a lucky bastard.
1. I was drinking and driving.
2. I hit a car who cut infront of me.
3. Cops gave me 3 breathalizer test.

I went home to sleep that night and not in jail. On the next occasion, I'm staying home for a while and out of trouble. Maybe I'll come out and drink with my buddies again. Fruit drinks and tea that is.

Great lesson learn.

You guys sure is .08 and not .05?

I think they lower it to .05. Correct me if i'm wrong

All the interstates in GA are HOT with 5.0. Everytime I come and take 85 to 20 I run into about 5 or 6 po-pos before I get home.

the fastest I ever go the streets is 100....but that is almost never...can't remember the last time I have seen triple digits in fact....!!! usually restrict myself to 80 on the streets....the highest I have ever been is 125.....top of 4th....mind you, I never stay at any of these speeds....as soon as I hit them I make sure to immediately slow down to the local speed limit...I try to save most of my high-speed, aggressive driving for the track/strip....I don't even go in the canyons anymore....

some of you almost benefit from the factory speed limiter on the gxe's and such!!! lol...almost like you shouldn't cut that wire!

95mph in a resdential zone (17 at time) engagin in a speed contest...car impounded for 30 days...got my car out in two days, hired a lawyer for court date...no charges filed, lawyer said wait 6 months and if i don't get a letter or anything then i don't have to worry...so i got away with racing. paid like 500 for the lawyer and like some impound fees or something like that around 100 so roughly 600+ or minus.
