corner light rewire.

just to get some clarification, could i hear from some people that have actually done the mod to make the corner light brighter? i am curious as to how long you have had it and if there were any adverse affects such as melting or cracking of the housing.

also, any pics?

thanks!

Question: If they're always bright, then when you're signalling it would not be apparent from the front as it would not go any brighter? I want to do this but since I have cefiros and no side 194 yellow bulbs anymore, I'd rather not get pulled over for defective lights. And we I30 owners do not have bumper lights like you maxima guys, we just have the fog and cornering lamps on the bottom.

Did mine a couple of days ago. So far, so good. No wire burning, no cracks.

yeah, when us maxima guys signal, our bumper lenses blink. you could try it in the cefiro's. the worst that would happen is it wouldn't blink and you'd have to turn the bulb back around.

if your lenses crack within short period of time, then don't drive too much at night

I'm guessing the lenses are cracking due to the constant extra heat being put out by the light bulb after the mod.

So if this mod was done but you used an LED bulb instead of a regular bulb, could that solve the cracking problem and still allow you to have an extra bright corner light ??

I've had mine rewired for 10 months or so. No problems yet. If I see any signs of a problem I'll be sure to put it back stock.
