Can you fix a door that is not alligned right?

On my max the right passenger door does not sit flat with the rear door so that the door pillars line up. It looks like a door that is not shut all the way. I am palmost certain the previous owner had an accident with my car. Can I do anything about this? Afriend of mine told me there is nothing a body shop can do. thanks for any info.

Check and see if any of the brackets are bent, maybe that is the cause of the door not closing properly.

You can try adjusting the door at the hinges or at the latch. They both have adjustment and if you like, a good body shop can DEFINITELY line it up properly or tell you what needs to be fixed to line it up if needed.

Of course it can be realigned... go to a decent body shop.
