Help with noisey sunroof

The rubber seal is chattering against the roof of the car whenever i go over bumps and its getting annoying. I can no longer ride with the sunshade open because the rubber chatter is getting to me. What can I do to make the seal quite and not make the rubber detiorate, but still keep a good seal going on? Thanks all!

...I am just curious I am new to the Maximas, but how far does the sunroof open up? I don't know if its my car or what, but it doesn't slide back the entire way only like a little past halfway. Is that normal?

Put some lube on it. I use tire gel on the rubber seal or even leather conditioner. Keeps the seal moist and stops the annoying noise.

Some people use vaseline (petroleum jelly). There was a thread about it in the Fluids and Lube section.

the glass does NOT go back all the way. It stays open a few inches. If it only goes a little passed half way- its not normal

I dont think petrolem jelly is a good thing- you know what that does to condoms? Well, I would assume that petroleum based lubes would be bad for a RUBBER gasket thanks for trying to help though
