I ran across red/clears for 96 today - price?

ok i just rushed home from work so i could drop the max off at the shop.. on the way back to work (my friend is driving) we come across this maxima at a stop light.. i notice he has all clear tails. hes an older guy. so im like holy **** - this guy doesnt have a clue what he has. so i tell him ill buy his tailights off of him and on top of that give him my old ones which are in damn good condiiton. so we pull over and hes like i dont know if i want to sell them, because i dont know whats wrong with yours, why do u want mine so bad? i tell him im a maxima enthusiast and basically ive been trying to find those for a while now but they are illegal. so im actually doing u a favor if thats what u wanna call it.. (thats me just trynna work my brain around someone who has no idea what they have in their possesions)

so anyways he took my number and said he would call me... if he does call back what would be a decent offer i should make to the guy including my old tails.

They go for as high as $350 on eBay. Offer $50 and your stock lights.

you should not rip him off completely. I mean get them for a good deal off of him, but do not starigh off rip him off. i say $200 - $250 plus your tails, he will bite,m and you both whould be happy.

I hope he calls. However, I honestly think he will NOT call. You basically told him that his lights are "awesome" and "one of a kind". He's now going to either:

1) Want to keep them

or

2) Sell them for no less than what they go for on e-bay...say $250+

...but hey, if he does bite, great! good luck either way

r u serious? that would be pointless. thats basically like me buying a pair off of ebay...

well anyways he just called me back and said that he just saw what the stock ones look like and doesnt like them because they are toooo dark. so he said he was gonna keep them, but he said if he changes his mind ill be the first person he'll call.. it was good while it lasted

if u can get the taillights off a 97+ and a trunk lid for cheaper than $200.. you still might make a trade with him if you do the red/clear for him. maybe that might change his mind. but then the thing is would it be worth the time and effort to do it?

$200 is a tough call if your looking for it wit a spoiler. offer him $150, you'd really go through all that trouble stopping him, and he wouldnt be suspicious why you want them so bad, for $50??? if it was only worth $50 to you, why woudl you stop him on the road, offer him what you think you'd still be a getting a good deal on, i paid $175 for mine, and i know i got a good deal, so instead of the $150 that was being asked, i offered 25$ more cuzi knew i was getting a good deal.

Oh man, I think it might be this dude that lives by coop city. I've seen his car for a while there. Is it a GXE with the honeycomb-looking wheels? I wanted to leave a note on his car with an offer, but never got around to it. I'd offer $100, but chances are he's looking them up online right now, and is gonna tell you to **** off.

You already messed up since you seemed too eager to get the lights.

do you like to be ripped off? i didnt think so, they're worth more then $200 to most people, find me a pair that went for $200 on ebay, joking right, they go for $300+shipping.

play fair, what goes around comes around, youll get stuck in the a$$ one day and nobody will give a $hit beacuse its exactly waht you would've done.
