disapointed with my times

I have a 95, 5spd. Great overall conditon. Brand new knock sensor, jwt ecu, ebay mid pipe, jwt filter, wsp y, greddy sp, ur udp. I ran on a 70 degre day. with passanger, and rear seat removed, trunk and spart gutted, 1/4 tank of gas. 18 psi in front tires. I ran a 14.982 at only 92.4 mph. 2.4 60 foot. I've ran at least ten times and never trapped higher than 93.2. My car feels fast and does really well aginst the other cars at the track. I took out a stick trans am lt1. But times are'nt up to par with my mod's. I'm also like 4,800 feet above sea level. Is this why? What would my time be at sea level. Thanks org.

is it me or is your tire pressure like way down. i know taking a little pressure out is good for "hooking" up but too much can effect drag due to the greater contact area. i dunno though. with your mods you should be running at least .5 secs faster if not more.

Sea level makes a huge difference, at one track i got a 15.3(well above sea level, LACR) and at a different track i got a 15.0.

It is your altitude. Look at this link for your corrected times and traps

Yeah high altitude = crappy times. Also your launch is pretty bad, you could probably pull 14.6 if you got your 60' down to 2.0/2.1 .

whew thanks guys. I thought my car just sucked. There is a track here that's at 1000 feet above. Not perfect but not near as bad. So i'm gunna go there, buy some new tires and see if I can learn to launch. And thanks for the link mike makes me feel much better. Feel free to make any other suggestions. Thanks guys
