Exhaust Question

Anyone have the Megan Racing Exhaust system? Or Warpspeed? I wanted to know which one I should get they are both around the same price. I am looking for a system that is semi-quiet but still has 2.5" inlet. I'm going to swap it later when I get a turbo kit I just want it for now so I can run 1/4's without losing horrible top end. I'm running a 150Shot of nitrous if that affects decision making any. I would just switch to 3in out now but most kits come with it I thought. Also I don't want to affect NA driving just yet.

Yes I'm serious

NOS is fun. Yes I have a 150 shot. That's not that important. Just exhausts. What kind of exhaust do you have ASpec? You can look at my website to see my current mods and there should be tuning howtos and such on there added to the current howtos next time I'm home. http://projecte.elitecentral.net

i got the WSP quiet catback... its really freakin quiet... you can still hear it around 2000 when it is in the most dronning range, but its definately got a good sound to it... id like a little more, but thats just me. it took it about a week or two to get louder, when i first had it put on, you couldn't hear a thing out of it...

the quality of it wasn't so great, i think the exhaust shop messed it up putting it on, but its all fudged up now... ill be getting an sp2 in the future... but yeah, i think youd like it...

nealoc has the megan, and i don't think he likes it... PM him, or search, this has been asked before...

I was going to get a cattman or SP2. I was talking to SouthWestAutoWorks and they said the SP2 was only 2 1/4in outlet which I didn't want. Anything with a 2.5" for my nitrous will make me happy. I just don't want to waste too much money on an exhaust I'm going to ditch as soon as I get my turbo kit. That's why I figured WSP or Megan would be better. Stainless steel doesn't really matter to me.

no. sp2 is 2.5" inlet with 4.5" tip. SS will matter in the long run. ie. my non-ss wsp y-pipe produces bee-in-the-shiet-sound after 2 years of usage.

Y-Pipe Question

Happyricefob, did you wrap your y-pipe in exhaust wrap? I heard that reduces that bees in the can noise. I've never tried it so if someone would like to dispute it go right ahead.

i have got the warpspeed y-pipe,high flow cat and the warpspeed 2.5inch cat back and i am happy w/ everything. the price, the quality and the sound. i would reccomend it to anyone. the only thing i didnt like was that the muffler ti took some fanangling to get it to sit up in the little bumper cut out but thats because i got the quiet muffler that they sell. other than that it is an awsome exhaust.i have had this setup for over a year now and there is not a spek of rust on any of it. im happy.

This will cause your flex section to fail due to heat build-up.
