just painted my dash!
I just finished painting my dash.
Turned out great.
I purposely tried scratching it, but didn't even scratch!
Here's what I used.
First, Bulldog paint adhering promoter. Since the dash on the max is oil based plastic, regular paint won't stick. This will make those problem surfaces a "no problem" for the paint.
For the paint, I used "Plasti-coat Ultra Vinyl" This is paint made for dashboards. I used Smoke silver Metallic, awesome color. I applied about 7 light coats. Light coats will dry faster, and will resist scratching...by layering the paint. Finally, I applied "Plasti-coat Acrylic clear coat" to give it that shine, and protection. I applied about 5 light coats of this, and it looks awesome.
To all who will be doing this...Good luck!
It's worth the time and effort!

pictures...
sorry guys...haven't developed any pictures yet.
coming soon...
Well, I just did the middled console.
Starting with the vent to the shifter.
It took about 30 min to take out the dash.
Seperating the vents, that's a tricky part.
