My passenger side fog light got stolen about 2 weeks ago and I am trying to decide if I should buy a replacement or just get a pair of aftermarket fogs and put them in the stock location.

So for those of you who put aftermarket fogs in the stock fog location could you please post day and/or night pics?

replace your stock fog light... aftermarket fogs on the maxima just don't look right IMO, although I do like Ludacris's aftermarket fogs

Replace the stock one, it's the only one that will fill in the hole nicely. You'll have a gap around any aftermarket you throw in there or it'll be too big and light up partially behind the bumper. If you never had fogs, then you might find a nice one to squeeze under the trim slit 97-99's have, but if that little slit is gone, all you have is big hole begging for the stock one.

Just my opinion.

I mounted mine in the middle opening of the bumper, and I think they look good.

hah thanks

I got these bc my stock fogs got stolen too. If you go aftermarket get a set that matches the shapes on the front end...I dont think round ones look right on our cars.

yeh i think the stock fogs do look the best. I was just hoping to see a max with aftermarket fogs that look good (besides Ludacris's) so I wouldn't have to cough up 100 bucks on a new fog lamp.

Stock are best, but with my kit stocks don't fit anymore...I got these

They're very similar to the ones that CustomMaxima is selling for $100 + Shipping
I might do a GD if enough people are interested, maybe around $55 Shipped w/ Harness
and switch and choice of blue halo or white.

these are from the CustomMax site, they're almost identical, haven't seen theirs so can't say they're the same ones:

Aside from picking the color of the ring/halo (blue or white) I can get them Oval, Round, or Square/Rectangle...I might start this next week to see how it goes

What's best to do for the GXE's?? Cut out the slits over the holes?

NYC Maxima97-I like the way your car looks with the aftermarkets. It is one of the few that looks good. But I dont think it would look as good on my car, because i dont have the stillen lip.

Mine look OK, I would still prefer the stock ones. They were cheap, I got on eBay for $30 including shipping.

I have a 97, so I've got that bar/slit. If you read the factory fog install guide, it says to take a knife, like a Utility Knife, and cut the slits off. I did that, then ground the leftover nub a lil.
