Y pipe (warpspeed) and catback (greddy SP)+highflow cat (Catco) the cat is debatable i bought it because my old cat looked fused to the stock y-pipe and since i did all the work myself and don;t have torch i figured it was worth it instead of paying an arm and leg for labor cost
for a total cost of $114+$160+$401+$112=$787 not bad if you ask me to shave of about .6 seconds off what the average stock maxima does. i saw an incread of about 16 PEAK whp. while this maynot seem like a lot i am sure other parts of the powerband saw substial gains as well.

while these are about accurate and i agree with most of them it is highly debatable if a light weight flywheel helps or hiders drag racing. from what i have observed and know i belive it hurts in drag racing. can anyone expain how it doesn hurt? i am very interested

Sounds to me that your a little immature shooting down the track like that. Not everyone wants to get taken to jail, have there car impounded, and slapped with a $400+ ticket for being a moron on the street.

I think that turbo of yours boosted up your head like a TT supra owner.
I dont care what they have on. Im not discriminating on people that do go. I was just wondering why people goes to the tracks weekly with no improvement. Sooner or later your belts will get loose, tires/cams/lifters/etc. will wear out, clutch too (assuming you guys run on manuals), oil-fuel-air filter will need changing, injectors start acting up and your tranny will start smoothing out and youll spend money on keeping it barely running instead of improving. I started like everyone here, I probably spent the most part of my money throwing away parts.

And no, I dont race on the streets with minivans. Where im at, theres a street strip in a private property near the beach that allows no traffic.
Qoute/unquote 'nice, safe, flat surfaced, isolated location to pactice'. I mess around there once in a while.
And I dont race until I get stepped up to. I keep my sleeper private. Here on the org is probably the most people that even knows I have anything.

I was one of those who goes to the tracks with everybolt on I had so im sheding my light and experience to everyone, save your money on other useful things.
If i didnt go for six months on not so important runs, i could have bought ... two sets of tires or something. not including the parts i had to change out.

So you think going to the track will decrease the life of oil, fuel filters, air filters, injectors, and cams? That is the most retarded comment I have ever heard. Why don't you explain to me how going to the track wears these parts down any sooner than dirving to the store.

I think youre an idiot if you dont know what the difference is ...
and im not talking about in a six month period. Common sense ... 'Eventully!'
You do know what etc. means right. Its an acronym for etcetera. Look them up, or better yet, read a book or something. Highly recommended to boost brain cells.

If you have never changed any of the above before due to hard driving, just buy a i35 or something and give up modding. You're hopeless.
I could whoop you stock.

that is not an anwser. That is using insults so you can get around having to anwser the question. And I will add that any more personal attack will get you banned.

So again, how will going to the track decrease the life of these parts you mentioned faster than normal driving would? You can just explain one of them if all of those is too hard. And remeber that insulting me is not anwsering the question

Haha ... thats funny, all the criticism's coming from the other side of the country knowing for a fact your guys are no where close to California. If you live anywhere near here you would even think of it.

Hmmmm....I never challenged you on the tires, tranny/clutch, or motor. That is how I thought you would respond. Injectors don't get "abused" they just flow fuel. They can get clogged or be passed duty cycle but they are not harmed by flowing fuel. I would give you another chance to anwser how fuel filters, air filters, and cams get worn out from going to the track but I doubt you could come up with an anwser.

Oh, and you can't seem to stop with the personal attacks so you can take a vacation from the org for...let's say three weeks.

Lol Maxima_kid you are funny...

Should I start to pick apart the things where you are wrong? Here's the first part, Pro Stock is drag racing, I'm not talking about Nascar. Second, if you compare launching on the street to launching on the track you obviously haven't been to the track much, perhaps you should go. Third, real racing enthusiasts race on the track where it is sanctioned not on the street like some fast and furious fanboi. Fourth, racing will ruin fuel filters, cams, injectors, etc? Where did you learn these interesting tidbits of information? Funny I've got 275 passes on my car and I haven't yet ruined a cam, or injector, or fuel filter, nor a clutch or transmission. Should I keep going?

And I see you visited my cardomain page. Perhaps you should take note of the times I ran with just bolt ons before you go talking smack about my car and how fast it is or how fast it will be. Have fun street racing and talking smack.

And BTW I would kill to just have half a rent payment and a few utility bills to pay. But alas I've got about $10,000 a semester in flight fees to pay (that's right I'm a pilot), in addition to regular tuition. So that's why my website says "I'm poor", not because I don't have a job or even a decent job at that. I work for the 5th largest bank in the nation in addition to carrying a full load of classes and living on my own, and in addition to flying about 10 hours a week plus ground instruction. Thanks for playing though, but try knowing what you are talking about before you go mouthing off and get made out to be a fool again. Enjoy your vacation, player...

it makes modding so much more interesting when you have to wait and put in hard time... ive had a job for about 2 months now and pulled in close to a grand... money goes into tires, oil changes, gas, insurance... etc.

makes mods i get worth a whole lot more to me...

Part of the issue is that people look at those types of movies and then think it's cool to street race and end up going out and either hurting themselves or killing themselves and someone completely innocent. Granted it was a good movie that introduced a lot of people to the world of modding cars, but people have been modding cars for years and then the go and race the right way: ON THE TRACK. He talks about Cali and everything but most of us Cali guys realize that the cops ren't playing anymore. For in fact in LA if you are caught racing they not only take your car but destroy it, NO WARNING, NO GETTING BACK and the fines are stiffer. It's just a matter of time before all of Cali is that way.
