Did this to my car to make it look like the newer style. Bought 1/2" pvc long enough to go from grille emblem to end of grille. Saw in half on an angle, picture it,youll get the idea. Smooth out, measure it for fit, trim is necessary. Drill holes top and bottom of each piece on the ends. I recessed the holes for better fit. Use nylon zip ties and feed through.I used body filler to completely fill and smooth the holes. Sanded till flat. Apply chrome auto tape to entire piece. Zip tie to each end of grill align right. Not a full replica, but for about $4,its great. I also painted those ugly front pieces(se foglight location) black. Looks way better than before, and first glance you cant tell its age. I can post a pic if someone wants me to mail,or give a link.

You can post a pic by using the "Attach File" option at the bottom of the reply screen. It's just above the "Submit Reply" button.

Sounds like a good effort... How thick is this tape? Did it take some effort to bend it? If not, with weather, bugs, and road debris, the chrome auto tape will probably not last. A good alternative for durability would be to go to an autobody shop that does chrome and have the pvc chromed. Otherwise, you will find yourself replacing the tape every few months...

I see that box,but if I want to add a pic from my aol space, how does that work? Chrome tape is very thin, holding up so far. If it comes off I have a lot more from the roll

Looks pretty good but the pic isn't too great. Do you have any close-ups?
