O2 Sensor in philly

Can any one recommend a good place to get an o2 sensor replaced in Philly. Nissan wants 300$ for parts and labor. Or is this a fair price?

thanks

Not sure if you want to try to do it yourself or not - but if you're up to it, its not very difficult. You can buy replacements for 70-80 bucks online (Bosch) that will plug right in.

See www.oxygensensors.com (one example) for the part.

See the stickies for instructions on how-to do the job.

I won't be able to do it myself, unfortunatelly, becuase i am a loser. But would you know how much this would usually cost outside of doing it for $300 at Nissan dealer?

any local garage can do it. never take anything done to stealerships. get the sensors from the website and check the manual and learn to do it yourself. you'll save a ishload of money over time

I don't know the usual cost - since I did mine myself... if you can find a shop that will let you provide the part - I don't think they'll charge more than 50 bucks for the work - and the part is 70-80 bucks - so you'll still be way ahead that way then taking it to the dealer.

ok, I went to a nice local shop who said they'll do parts and labor for 160. I am happy, and glad not to be paying 300 @ Colonial or Oneil Nissan. Thanks for the advice guys

do you know which o2 sensor? I don't how you can consider paying $300. If its a front o2 sensor I'll have you back on the road in 15 mins.

If you can change your oil you can change an o2 sensor they're easy at least the front ones. I have no idea about the rear one.
