steering noise

Just replaced both CV joints over the course of about 4 months now, but I am still getting a small "clicking" noise when I turn the steering wheel. I don't get it. Teh CV joints were shot when I bought the car, so I always figured that was the culprit. But the noise is still there.

I can only hear it when at very low speeds or standing still and I physicall move the steering wheel. When I am driving in the turn, if I keep the wheel steady, there is no more noise.

Could I have a bad steering box? Or tie rods, or what? Any ideas?

Thanks

Mike

Sounds like bad strut bearings... reasonably cheap part - 25 bucks a side or so.
See www.motorvate.ca for instructions on replacement... now would be the time to replace struts/springs/boots/strut mounts if you were thinking about changing your suspension.

Cool. Thanks. Sounds like a fairly simple fix.

Easy to fix - just annoying to have to take apart all that crap just to get to the bearing....
