Not cool at all

I woke up this morning to find my driver-side, outer tail light shattered. Last night, there was a very rough party downstairs and apparently, half of the people who showed up weren't even invited. The guy who parks next to me had a bottle shattered on his tire (19", ouch!) so it wasn't as though I was singled out. The people who live directly beneath me had half of their stuff stolen by said partiers. Not cool.

So you go the guy who threw the party and have him re-imburse you. He threw the party and should be liable maybe it was an uninvited guest maybe it wasnt but if it was me I would be pissed.

If it was a red/clear, I probably would demand reimbursement but in all honesty, it's not worth the trouble. I mean, I have to live above them for another six months and my friends and I party a good bit so we get loud. I don't need to give them an excuse to call the cops everytime we're having a good time.

i agree. Go to the guy who threw the party and have him pay for it. If he don't, you should go shatter his tails.

that really sucks about your car.

Ummm, asking money from a guy who threw a party...is stupid. Heh, unless you feel comfortable strong-arming people for the hell of it.

I can't believe I heard this suggestion twice.

You would be singing a different tune if it had been something more serious.. Fact of the matter is, when you invite someone to your home you may be just as liable for their actions as they are..

Its a prinicipal thing to me. I respect your stuff and I hope you do the same.
