THe lights looks friggen awesome. I like the light output the projectors put out. It's a clean cut compared to others that I have seen on the org.

With these links on the projector retrofit...i might just have to get off my a$$ and try this.

New 4100K hid bulbs should be operating at a full 100%, which means 3200 lumens. This is from the FAQ:

100% at 0 hours
90% at 200 hours
80% at 1000 hours
75% at 1500 hours
70% at 2000 hours

How did you wire your setup? Any relays used? It is properly aimed? Any properly retrofitted projectors should yield near OEM results. Are you judging its brightness by what's on the ground or from looking at the projectors? Remember, HIDs are not good for foul weather so don't be surprised if you can barely see anything on a rainy or foggy day.

Hey....a bit off topic here, but did you managed to reconnect your highbeam solenoid wire? I read your post from hidplanet. The best way...I think...is soldering it. Let me know how it goes.

light on the road is pretty dim.. I aimed them properly. but no relay used.. does it matter? I just connect the ground and the 12v wires to the ballasts

thanks

No the entire connection fell apart. So I bought 2 Hella Projectors off ebay, $120 + shipping. Same ones I have, bi-xenon.

I'll find a use for my old projectors...

You probably have them aimed higher, or you are driving around on a well-lit road. Lower you aim them, brighter the road gets, but the light doesnt travel as far. Yes at times it might seem dim, but you can see much farther than any other car on the road next to you without using high beams.

Take it out on a completly dark road, and you will love your projectors.

A relay wire really really isn't necessary..... even though there are those that will swear by it. Basically what a relay wire does is to power your ballasts directly from the battery instead of running it through your OEM wires, thus can help prevent the wires from melting or any other problems. If your lights are flickering too much at startup, you might want to use a relay wire then because it provides a constantly power source from the battery.

HID FAQ

Try to aim your lights a bit lower to see if that helps. If that doesn't help either, try cleaning your headlight housing. Dust and dirt will greatly affect the output. Or could be that the projector itself is dirty.

I don't have time to help you with the whole project but I sure can help you with any question. I didn't know anything about retro fitting projector before,I just followed the guide from Hidplanet (link I gave).

The hardest part is trying to keep those glue from getting on the headlight lens when trying to open them up

just give me a PM or come to my house if u r in the south
