fender replacement

I'm gonna need to get my passenger side fender replaced here pretty soon. It has some minor damage to it. Has anyone replaced one of these? Is it something I can do myself by any chance? Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but if I could find another deep evergreen Max in a junkyard and undo some bolts, it would really be a lifesaver.

Its really easy just a bunch of bolts inside under the hood and in the wheel well and in the door jamb... its not hard really. Just follow the contour of the fender.

Do they make fiberglass fenders without the z3 louvers?! Just a OEM looking fender made of fiberglass....

Just FYI but if you are taking off an OEM fender that has not been replaced before, it has a few spot welds. I know cause I just tried to take mine off. Be prepared.

The one on my 1996 SE didn't have any spot welds...Fenders are actually very easy to replace. I would try to find a junkyard fender that matches your car's color- that way you would save $300 on painting/blending.

If it's just a minor damage, can't you have that fixed rather than replacing the whole fender? i was just wonderin'......

I just went by a body shop a few minutes ago and it looks like it would be pretty expensive to get my damage fixed and painted and blended. I would be much better off finding a 4th gen deep evergreen max in a junkyard and getting parts from it. I don't really care if it is 95-96 or 97+; if it is later, then I guess I'll be doing the conversion.

here are some pics of my damage:

I have some metal fenders with Z3 type of slots for sale. Brand new in the box.
