2 months ago, while making a long trip, my CE light came on. After one week, it went away. The same thing has repeated again: last week, making another long trip... today, it went away!
the only thing constant was the gas quality. On both trips, I was using lower octane gas, then I started using high octane after the CEL came on. A friend suggested it may be some emissions valve, he was able to guess that it happened in long trips. The engine also feels like it hesitates a bit.
Any guesses? anyone had a similar experience? (I know there's a way to check the fault codes, just being a lazy ***)

Check your engine fault codes to see what prompted the CEL to come on. . .sounds spark/knock related due to the lower octance fuel, it'll will do that, and also make it hesitate.
