ebay has tons of ground wire kits that sell for 10 bucks but shipping is like 23 bucks which is obviously a rip off

my question is can i just make my own with standard amplifier power wire

how much do i need and what do i connect it to

i looked in faqs too maybe i just missed it thanks for any help

I rmemeber seeing where someone made their own with stereo wire, and some ring terminals. I don't remember the details though, maybe they'll chime in.

i made my own out of 4 gauge amp wire and some heavy duty ring terminals. i just grounded it from the negative post on the battery to different parts on the engine. ex headlights, alternator, throttle body, timing chain cover, and intake manifold.

i dont remember how many feet i used but it was somewhere around 10-15 maybe?

i bought a stereo kit and used the 4 gauge wire.....i think it was 20' also picked up some crimp/solder on cable lugs. I used zip ties and electrical tape too.

The one thing about the DIY kits that blows is you have no distibution block.
I would rather buy one off Ebay if i was to do it again.
