Any one know how much it should cost to replace the windshield on a 1996 Maxima?

I've got the car looking like new except for the dings in the windshield.

Any recommendations for where to get the work done and things to look out for?

I've heard the most insurance companies will replace 1 free windshield per year. You should see if that's part of the policy.

I will check into that with the insurance company.

However, I am sure that even if I get it for free, it won't really be free.

At the very least the insurance company will count it as a claim and potentially use it against me when I have something I really need to claim (i.e. higher premiums or a cancellation).

I worry about insurance because I also drive a Vette...
