ok, so my dad has a GS430 that he got around early December to replace his aging (notice the sarcasm) '98 GS400. When he got it my car was stock and my brother and I raced my max against it and it kicked my ***. Anyway, fast forward to today. My brother and I got our hands on that bad boy again, and we wanted to see how my now modded max would keep up. I assumed that I would still get killed. anyway, out of two runs...much to my surprise, this is how it turned out.
1st run: we were neck and neck to 40, and we ran out of road....plus I had a bad start and a lot of wheel hop..and still kept up. I was like damn.
2nd run: I had a REALLY good start, and actually pulled a nose in front of the GS near the end of first gear. second gear the GS started to pull VERY slowly and by halfway through 3rd...around 80....my front bumper was at the GS's rear bumper and we ran out of road again. I was actually very impressed by my max keeping up with the GS. I thought that all the extra pull I felt from my mods was just in my head, but I guess the "butt dyno" does work well sometimes. I'm guessing when I get my UDP and R/T cat...I will be able to match the GS to 80...now that would be an accomplishment. My original goal when I got my car was to match the GS is the quarter mile without forced induction...and I just may do it after all.

Brian i am impressed that your car hung with the GS. My brothers Max was no match for yours. You blew his doors off. Wait till i get my y-pipe and we will have a good race at hand. I tried calling you on saturday night(sorry i called your house so late!) I had the 330i and wanted to know if you wanted to make a few runs against it.
I was impressed too. I was at work on Saturday night, so I wouldn't have been able to anyway. It's ok though, my parents stay up late, so they weren't ****ed or anything. I'm getting 490 bucks in my tax return...so I think I'm going to get tints very soon.

Im getting 672 on my tax return..but thats gonna be used to pay off some of my debts to my dad. The good thing is that i am working a lot lately so i should get some large checks coming(straight to my y-pipe fund). One day i am gonna stop in this tinting place on Ogden and pick out the percentage of tint i want. I will talk to the guy i know and get a firm price for the tints if your still interested.
