maintenence on a few things...suggestions?

Im doing some general maintenence and need some suggestions, especially on the brake pads.

pads: I need new brake pads, and I figure I might as well get some aftermarkets. Any good suggestions that won't break the bank...and last a while?

brake fluid: I heard this can actually make a pretty big performance impact, any suggestions?

I don't know what your budget is, but I've never even heard of duralast gold....but a good brand is Raybestos Quiet Stops or some Axxis Metal Masters. Hopefully this reply isn't too late.

Ceramic pads

Use ceramic pads, these are what the Nissan OEM pads are. You will get less dust, less noise and long life in comparison with most other types of pads. For normal street use, the ceramic pads are great.

Raybestos makes the QuietStop pads (Advance Auto has them). Akebono makes the ACT pads (www.tirerack.com has them). Or get the Nissan OEM pads (Courtesy Nissan has them), they are pretty good. Don't get the Nissan value pads, though.
