Here's the thing, I have a 98 I30, which is basically a Maxima, and I've always noticed something very annoying with it, compasses do not work properly on the dash. I've tried putting analog, digital, and even my $200 newly bought radar detector with compass, but nothing works, it always seems to thing I'm heading north, no matter what direction I'm in or how many times I try resetting the darn thing. Does anyone else have this problem with their 4th generation max? I haven't installed anything like dvd or aftermarket sound system, just the standard Bose cd player with speakers it came with. I have yet to see any fellow org members experience this problem and came forward with it so I'm figuring I'm the only unlucky one with a mysterious strong magnetic interference that disrupts compasses, I'm really getting annoyed with that. Please help.
