Any modifications need for 20" rims?

Ive got a 1998 Infiniti I30 with 18" rims on them that are pretty damaged, so I plan on changing them soon. I was going to put 19s on until I saw these 20s that I am in love with. My car is lowered on s tech springs. My question is will I have to do any modifications for them to fit, or will I be fine? I dont want to have any rubbing, or atleast major rubbing. I tried searching and saw ppl that had 20s but their cars were not lowered.

I agree. 20s are too bling-bling. Just put on rims that will fit you car as it is now (lowered).

i can think of one mod that may be needed, a baseball bat slamming against your head if you do this to that poor car

with S-tech's you'll definitely have some rubbing issues, 19" would work with the right tire size.....but you're gonna hurt your ****

skatehorse......who is that hott babe, she's got good taste choosing the maxi over the 7 series

I was reading up something about that in a magazine a few years ago.

Someone was replacing 20''s with 24''s on an SUV, and he strongly recommended geting bigger brakes (for reasons i don't remember). Something about the braking not being as effective when you have the old smaller brakes/rotors with bigger wheels.

Because with bigger wheels theres a heavier rotational mass, which translates into more work the brakes have to do to slow down. You dont have to do any mods, 20's will fit but they will mess up your odometer.

lol hell have some crazy *** rpm. 20s would look sick, when maximas came out and even now, they were made for chrome and tints. i know around my way maximas and legends are the illass drugdealer cars. but now its just legends and benzs.

I'm still gonna grab one when i can afford to completely restore one. It was one of those cars i dreamed of in high school. Since I'm older now and pulling in more cash...It's definately conceivable. I personally like the way the legends looked compaired to my max.

Not really, if your riding 20's on stock suspension you wont have much wheel gap... theres alot of heads around here that have them.. since the wheel is so oversized over stock you dont have wheel gap

I have 20's on a 4th gen unlowered, had them on all summer, no rubbing issues. Although I am not lowered, the stock wheel gap does diminish quite a bit after adding the 20s, not to mention I have a hybrid body kit which also makes the car look lower, thus wheel gap (i guess?). Lol. Go for it, it's your car, don't let others tell you how to specialize your vehicle, the same people tried to say the same thing to me, follow your heart and your pockets.

ya i also had 20's on all summer, stock suspension, the gap is the same as when i had my 16's on. they look like factory 20" rims, made the car slow as hell of the line, but hey, bling bling
