Exhaust diameter...duals???
I'm planning on running a new exhaust setup. Got a couple of questions, though. I've seen the dual setups....how beneficial are they? Do they really pull more power than the singles...enough to override the extra pounds? Also, what is the pipe diameter of the stock exhaust, and what size do you guys usually upgrade to? I don't have the dough to throw on an Apex'i like I wanted to, but I do want to try a traditional glasspack on my Maxima, or a turbo muffler, to experiment. I'm not afraid of noise, so if anyone's got some advice, thanks in advance.
Dual exhaust gives almost no power gain unless it's a true dual setup, meaning separate pipes for each bank of cylinders from the engine and out to the pipes. The dual exhaust that's been done on a 4th gen is split from the b-pipe, so there's no real power gain. It looks f*cking sweet though...
